My hubs generally tolerates my accumulation of stuff I find at yard sales in order to fix, paint, refinish, etc., but every now and then he gets overwhelmed with the clutter and asks me to get rid of it. Recently he told me it’s time to park both cars in the garage. About a year ago I cleared enough stuff to park one car in there and that was a huge step in the right direction, but now he’d like to reclaim the entire garage. He has patiently waited for this long overdue push to get the storehouse of projects completed, so I’ve decided to make June my “Clear the Clutter Project Month!”
I too am looking forward to not only a clean two car garage, but also a clutter-free patio (and back yard…and side yard… and … well, I have stuff stashed everywhere! It’s a huge undertaking but I’m ready for the challenge and am quite motivated to simplify and unclutter the stockpiles of treasures I’ve accumulated over the past few years.
So here goes… the goal of at least one completed project a day. I have chairs to turn into planters, stools and ladders to paint, terra cotta pots to age, furniture to sand and stain, chandeliers to fix, shelves and armoires to whitewash, patio furniture and lots of miscellaneous things to spray paint, aprons and pillows to sew, and oh the list goes on!
Let the projects begin! I’ll keep you posted on my progress.
